KEP participates in the regional Conference on the reform and development of the postal services

On June 18th in Minsk (Republic of Belarus) the Regional Conference on "Support for European and CIS countries in the reform of the postal sector and the process of development based on the methodology IPDP" was held. The Conference was organized by the UPU International Bureau in cooperation with the RCC Executive Committee and the Communication Administration of Belarus. The Conference was attended by delegates from 11 countries and 3 regional unions (RCC, PostEurop and CERP). KEP was represented by the General Director Mr. Omurkan Baisariev.
The main purpose of the conference was examination of the methodology IPDP (Integrated Postal Reform and Development Plan). Participants have discussed the main directions of the UPU postal reform techniques, the importance of the definition of the universal postal service and the postal sector regulation. It was presented the experience of the countries which have already developed IPDP and countries which have not yet worked out the plan. The representative of the UPU International Bureau presented the UPU activity plan in the field of postal reform in the RCC countries for 2015 - 2016 years.
